Staffing and Temp agencies are a great alternative or addition to a traditional job search. These agencies help employers fill temporary part-time and full-time positions. These short-term jobs are good resume-builders, and they can help you assess your strengths and figure out what skills you'd like to develop. Occasionally, temp positions can lead to regular long-term employment. Harmon Personnel Services is a locally-owned and well-established agency located in Greenfield. In addition to providing employment opportunities, Harmon Personnel now offers a wide variety of workshops to help you develop your computer skills. Harmon is open from 8-5, M-F, but they prefer it if you make an appointment ahead of time. Johnson & Hill is another good agency, located in Northampton, and they require that you make an appointment by phone.
